Michael Lawson is a Company Director employed full time as a Registered Valuer. His work involves valuations for market and insurance purposes and he therefore has an up to date knowledge of market prices, building costs, and market trends.

  • Diploma of Valuation and Property Management (Post Graduate)

  • Registered Valuer

  • Associate Member of New Zealand Institute of Valuers

  • Senior Member of New Zealand Property Institute

  • Director of Lawson Valuation Ltd

  • Annual Practising Certificate (No 622) with the NZ Valuers Registration Board

 

Lawson Valuation Ltd was formed in November 2006 with the purchase of the residential files from Logan Stone Ltd with whom Michael Lawson was previously employed.

The company is an owner operated valuation and property consultancy practice which is involved in the valuation of rural holdings and urban properties throughout the greater Hawkes Bay province from Gisborne to Dannevirke.  The company also undertakes insurance valuations for all types of property including commercial and industrial.   The company employs a typist on a casual basis and an office manager and specialises in the following fields of work:

  • Valuation of rural and urban property for purchase, mortgage, matrimonial property settlement and compensation purposes under the Public Works Act

  • Valuations for farm succession

  • Valuations for mortgagee sale purposes

  • Portfolio valuations

  • Valuation of subdivision developments

  • Indemnity and replacement cost Insurance valuations

Assignments undertaken include:

  • Valuation of property assets for financial purposes

  • Valuation of sub divisible rural and urban land using discounted cash flow and hypothetical subdivision analysis and methodology

  • Valuation of rural land for compensation/acquisition purposes under The Public Works Act for Central Hawkes Bay District Council, Hastings District Council and Hawkes Bay Regional Council
